Your Elected Officials
Apple Valley has an elected Mayor and four Council districts. The Mayor leads all meetings. The Town Council also acts as the board for the Apple Valley Community Resource Foundation.
Elections are held every two years for the Mayor and Council seats that are ending. Council members serve for four years, and the Mayor serves for two years.
The Mayor leads Council meetings, and if the Mayor is absent, the Mayor Pro Tem takes over. Each December, the Council picks one member to be Mayor Pro Tem.
Your Town Manager
Meet Doug Robertson, our Town Manager. The Town Manager is the head of the town’s government. They work under the direction of the Town Council. The Town Manager makes sure everything in the Town runs smoothly. They manage 17 departments.
