How To Vote

Voting in our town is simple and vital. If you want to run for office, call the Town Clerk’s office at 760-240-7000, extension 7800. If you haven’t received your Vote by Mail ballot, call 909 387-8300. You can return your Vote by Mail ballot in the prepaid envelope or drop it off at:

 

  • Town Hall at 14955 Dale Evans Parkway
  • James Woody Community Center at 13467 Navajo Road

Check the district map to find out which district you live in.

Gather necessary documents and review voting procedures.

Go to your polling place and cast your vote. Let your voice be heard.

Information for Prospective Candidates

The nomination period is open from Monday, July 13, 2026, to Friday, August 7, 2026, at 4:30 p.m. Individuals interested in receiving and filing nomination papers can contact the Town Clerk’s Office for appointments. If no one or only one person is nominated for an elective office, an appointment to the elective office may be made as prescribed in the Elections Code of the State of California. The polls on Election Day will be open between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.

The following City Offices are up for election as part of the November 2026 General Election:

  • District 3 Town Council Member (4-year term ending November 2030)
  • District 4 Town Council Member (4-year term ending November 2030)
  • Mayor (2-year term ending November 2028)

*You must reside within the designated district to qualify for candidacy in that district. 

 

Key Dates and Deadlines

  • Nomination period open: July 13, 2026
  • Standard nomination period closed (deadline to file papers): August 7, 2026
  • Extended nomination period closes (deadline to file for a seat if the incumbent does not file): September 19, 2026
  • Secretary of State Randomized Alphabet Drawing (order of candidates will be placed on the ballot): August 13, 2026
  • Candidates can begin to post campaign signs (45 days prior to the election): Friday, September 4, 2026
  • Deadline to register to vote: October 19, 2026
  • Election Day: November 3, 2026
  • County election officials will begin mailing ballots by October 5, 2026
  • Secure ballot drop-off locations open on October 6, 2026
  • In-person early voting locations throughout California will open on Saturday, October 31, 2026
  • November 3 is the last day to vote in person or return a ballot by 8:00 p.m. Polls are open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Vote-by-mail ballots must be postmarked no later than November 3.
