Position Summary:
Under direct supervision, learns to and performs a variety of work in the construction, modification, maintenance, repair, and operation of Town infrastructure, including storm and sanitary sewer systems; and performs related work as required.
Requirements:
Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth (12th) grade and one (1) year of experience in construction, maintenance, or repair of underground utilities. Experience working in wastewater or collections is highly desired.
- Valid California class C driver’s license with satisfactory driving record and automobile insurance.
- Must be able to successfully acquire a CWEA Grade 1 certificate in collections within a timeframe specified by the Town.
- Must be able to obtain a valid California Class B driver’s license with Tanker and Air Brake Endorsements within a timeframe specified by the Town.
- Must be available to be on-call on a rotating basis. A thirty (30)-minute response time is required and includes responding to after hour emergencies at times.
- Position will be required to work in and around wastewater and the sewer system.
