Utility Billing Help

The Town of Apple Valley offers a Hardship Discount for residents who qualify for the C.A.R.E. (California Alternate Rates for Energy) program through one of the following utility providers:

• Southwest Gas
• Southern California Edison
• Liberty Utilities
• Golden State Water

Please upload a current utility bill showing your C.A.R.E. status at your service address. This discount is valid for one year and must be renewed annually. It does not apply to dumpsters or commercial accounts.

Important Notes:

• If you move or no longer qualify, you must notify the Town immediately.
• If you receive the discount in error, your account may be re-billed at the regular rate.
• Extra containers and sewer charges are not eligible for discounts.

Request for Payoff – Property Billing

Please allow up to 5 business days for the completed form to be returned. If there is a lien, the Town of Apple Valley will remove it with the San Bernardino County Recorder’s Office within 45 days.

Sanitation “Vacancy” Credit Request

Trash service is required by the Town of Apple Valley Municipal Code, Chapter 6.20. You may be exempt from trash and sewer fees if your property will be vacant for more than 60 consecutive days. This application is valid for up to 90 days. After that, you must reapply.

Important: Commercial and dumpster accounts are not eligible for this exemption. No credit will be given for past vacant periods. This credit is not redeemable for cash value.
