Governor Newsom made Executive Order N-54-20 on April 23, 2020. Because of this order, this web page was created to follow special steps for posting public notices about the environment. Since County buildings are hard to access, these notices are posted here for you to read. Types of notices include:

Notices of Preparation of Environmental Impact Reports

(E.I.R.) A notice that an environmental study is starting and the public can give input.

Notices of Availability of Draft E.I.R.s

A notice that the draft environmental report is ready for public review and feedback.

Notices of Intent to Adopt Negative Declarations

A notice that a project is expected to have minimal environmental impact and is open for public comment.

Notices of Determination

(E.I.R.) A notice that an environmental study is starting and the public can give input.

Notices of Exemption

A notice that a project does not need environmental review under state guidelines.

Environmental Documents

Some are waiting for approval, and some are already approved. These documents include:

Environmental Impact Reports

A report that studies a project’s environmental effects and how to reduce them.

Mitigated Negative Declarations

A report showing a project’s impacts has been reduced to a less serious level.

Negative Declarations

A report showing a project is not expected to harm the environment.

Notices of Exemption.

A notice that a project is exempt from environmental review.
