The Apple Valley Animal Shelter will take part in California Adopt-a-Pet Day. They will host a free pet adoption event on Saturday, June 7, 2025. It will be held at the shelter at 22131 Powhatan Road.

On this day, all adoption fees will be free. The cost is spay/neuter deposit, which you get back after the procedure is done.
All pets will be vaccinated and microchipped. Shelter staff will help you find the right pet for your home and lifestyle.
This event is part of a statewide effort to help more pets find homes and reduce crowding in shelters. It’s sponsored by CalAnimals, the San Francisco S.P.C.A., and the A.S.P.C.A.®. The goal is to make pet adoption easy and give animals a fresh start.
