It’s all about the horse! This brand new event, led by members of the Town Council appointed Equestrian Advisory Committee, is gathering all things equine at Horsemen’s Center on Saturday, September 27 from 10 a.m. - 7 p.m.
Leading experts will present demonstrations of riding styles and events such as dressage, western, team sorting and penning, and Spanish Dancing Horses. Training demonstrations include Natural Horsemanship, Safe Horse-Safe Rider and many other essential techniques available today. Don’t miss the $500 Weaver Leather tack drawing!
This is a first of its kind event in the High Desert. Following in the “hoof-steps” of established events such as the Equine Affaire in Pomona, the Equine Extravaganza also looks to create a one-stop shop with vendors on hand selling trailers, tack and other items of interest to horse owners, or those who admire or are interested in getting into the equestrian lifestyle.
No horse? No problem! Everyone will be amazed at the artistry of dressage riding and the excitement of Extreme Cowboy Racing. Kids can play in the pony bounce house. Admission and parking are free. Visit www.AppleValley.org or call 240-7000 X 7071 for more information. The event is sponsored in part by Toyota Tundra, Graham’s Hay Sales, Strata Equity Group and Artisan Realty.
Visit the Equine Extravaganza page on the Town website for more details.
