“A Better Way of Life” isn’t just the town motto; it’s a fact. According to the most recent survey, 68% of Apple Valley residents gave the quality of life Apple Valley an excellent or good rating. The vast majority (71%) also reported being satisfied with the Town’s overall performance in providing municipal services.

A random phone survey of 602 residents was conducted by True North Research, Inc. administered in English and Spanish between September 18 and September 28, 2017, the average interview lasted 16 minutes.  Besides measuring satisfaction with services and perception of quality of life, the questions also covered subject areas including: Perceived safety, traffic, neighborhood issues, shopping/economic development, spending priorities, communication, parks, recreation and special events.

It should be noted that similar studies were conducted by True North for the Town in 2009 and 2011. Because there is a natural interest in tracking the Town’s performance in meeting the evolving needs of its residents, where appropriate the results of the current study are compared with the results of identical questions included in the 2009 and 2011 studies.
