It is important for people to take pride in their neighborhoods! The Town of Apple Valley, Burrtec

Waste and California Department of Conservation jointly sponsor "Neighborhood Clean Ups" throughout Apple Valley.

The clean up events are scheduled at various locations throughout the town. These events are intended for citizens to dispose of trash and debris items from their property at no charge. The California Department of Conservation grant emphasizes recycling, items are separated and all recyclables are handled accordingly.

Code Enforcement Staff selects a neighborhood that would benefit from receiving additional support and resources. Staff saturates the neighborhood contacting residents advising them of violations that may be present and providing a flyer to the clean up event. Every property in the selected neighborhood is provided a flyer. The Town is divided into 6 areas, with the funding of grants a cleanup is conducted in every area throughout the year.

Requirements to participate in the Free Neighborhood Clean Up are:

  •     Must be a resident of Apple Valley (ID is required as proof of residency)

  •     No hazardous waste (televisions, computers, paint, oil, batteries, tires, etc.)

  •     Participants must be able to unload there vehicles and/or trailers

"Neighborhood Clean Up" is different than "Community Clean Up", which is conducted twice a year. To obtain further information on Community Clean Up.
