Tire Amnesty Days are jointly sponsored by the Town of Apple, Burrtec and funded by a grant from the California Integrated Waste Management Board.
Requirements to participate in the Free tire drop-off event:
- Must be a resident of Apple Valley (ID is required as proof of residency), no commercial dealers allowed.
- Passenger and light truck tires only
- Tires must be taken off the rims. Tire with rims will NOT be accepted.
- California Vehicle Code §31560 makes it an infraction to transport ten or more tires without a valid waste tire hauler registration.
2015 / 2016 Tire Amnesty Dates
Tires Disposed of during Tire Amnesty Days in Apple Valley are utilized as alternative fuel. The Town collects approximately 7,000 tires annually during Tire Amnesty Day Events. This includes tires picked up by Code Enforcement Staff that were illegally dumped in the desert areas of Apple Valley.
